DEAR BEST FRIEND(S)

"A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity." - Proverbs 17:17
Dear Best Friend(s),
I want to start by saying thank you. Thank you for all the laughter that makes my sides hurt and causes little creases in the corners of my eyes (the best kind of wrinkles). Thank you for coffee dates, devotions, and going to dinner with me, but also for the movie nights and face masks when I just don't feel like going out. Thank you for lifting me up in prayer when I needed it, and when I didn't particularly need it (but was still thankful for it). Thank you for praying with me when one of us was in a rough patch. Thank you for accepting me and my flaws, and loving me just the way I am. Thank you for being patient and honest with me, even when it's hard to do so. Thank you for the memories we have made together, and days that I will never, ever forget.
Secondly, I'm sorry. I'm sorry I let you down sometimes, and that sometimes I hurt you, even when that's the last thing I was trying to do. I'm sorry that I annoy you sometimes, or get annoyed with you. I'm sorry for when I say things that I don't mean. I'm sorry that I'm a handful sometimes, and that every now and then I get jealous or a little too clingy. I'm sorry that I'm not there when I should be some days.
Lastly, I'm praying for you. I pray that you get home safely every time you leave somewhere. I pray that you get all your heart's desires in life. I pray that Christ blesses you with an amazing husband that loves you (almost) as much as I do. I pray that life treats you well, and that you always look on the bright side. I pray that you are confident and that you love and respect yourself. I pray that you take care of yourself when you need some TLC, and that you stay in good health. I pray that you always have a reason to smile, and that you're happy for years and years to come.
I'm so grateful for a friendship as cherished and special as ours. God definitely knew what He was doing when He placed you in my life. You always lift my spirits when I'm down, and you always want the best for me, no matter what. Whether it's going out to eat or just sitting at home together, you are always willing to spend time with me when I miss you or I'm just feeling lonely. I'm glad that I found someone who can deal with the way I dress weirdly, the way I eat Asian food so often, and the way I love to be literally side-by-side on the couch when we watch movies.
Our relationship is so dear to my heart, and I thank God every day for blessing me with such an awesome best friend as you. You truly are a gem! I pray that our friendship lasts for years and years to come, and that we can look back on the memories together as we get older. These days are surely times that I want to remember forever.
With love,
Mckenzie
